Out of town :: Getting paid to travel

Recently I had the chance to work as a tour leader for the first time. Finally! :) It was a one day trip for 7th graders to Istria and a wonderful learning experience. Everything that could possibly go wrong did, but we managed to pull it off in the end.

Out of town :: Banja Luka

This week I spent a couple of days in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina joining a friend of mine in celebration of his family's Slava. As it is with most holidays, celebration of this one is also centered around food, family and friends. With addition of rakija. A lot of it. But they do also have some special customs which I was very interested to see and take part in for the first time. All in all I had an amazing time. So much so, in fact, that I only took one photo on the whole trip and that was the phone snap above on my way to the bus station. I am definitely coming back next year! :)
